Our Story

Where a Passion Became a Purpose

Silver State Bengals was born from a deep love for the Bengal breed — its wild beauty, its intelligence, and its extraordinary bond with people. What started as a personal fascination with these miniature leopards grew into a calling: to breed Bengals that are not only stunning to look at, but genuinely wonderful to live with.

Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are a small, home-based cattery. Every kitten is born and raised in our living space — not in a separate facility, not in cages. Our cats are family members first, and that environment shapes everything about how our kittens grow up.

What We Stand For

Our Breeding Philosophy

We believe that a great Bengal kitten is the result of intentional decisions made long before birth — in the selection of parents, the design of the environment, and the care given every single day.

Temperament Is Non-Negotiable

Wild-looking does not mean wild-acting. We select for confident, curious, and affectionate personalities — Bengals that seek out their people, adapt to new environments, and thrive as companions.

Small & Intentional

We produce a limited number of litters each year. This is a deliberate choice. Fewer litters means more time, attention, and love for every kitten — and better outcomes for every family.

Lifelong Support

Our relationship with kitten families doesn't end at pickup. We are available for questions, guidance, and support throughout your Bengal's life. Many of our kitten families become long-term friends.

How We Raise Our Kittens

Early Life & Socialization

From the moment they are born, our kittens are handled daily.

As they grow, kittens are exposed to a wide range of sounds, textures, people, and experiences — vacuum cleaners, children, other pets, car rides, and more. By the time they go to their new homes, they are curious and unflappable, not fearful.

Kittens leave for their new homes between 8 and 12 weeks of age, fully vaccinated. Each kitten goes home with a small bag of their current food and blanket to ease the transition.
